Candidate Experience: Candidates just want to Be Loved….Is that so wrong?

contractors, recruitment agencies
Candidate Experience Goes a Long Way

Within the recruiting industry, it’s hard to get away from candidate experience.  It’s one of those hot topics right now that everyone is talking about.  There is a heavy emphasis on the importance of treating candidates better.  With the recruitment industry in Australia being extremely competitive, recruiters must go the extra mile to stay on top and providing a good candidate experience is at the centre of this.

Ask anyone in business what is the most important part of your business … it is the PEOPLE.  This is from end-users, clients, customers, employees.  Having a strategy in place to keep these experiences positive equals a recipe for success.

So candidate experience, why should we care?  Sure, we want to respond like humans to candidates but if hiring quality talent does it really matter if you don’t get back to everyone that applies?  Filling the requirements is all that’s important and as long as you are doing that, everything else doesn’t matter.

The questions that need to be addressed are; does improving the candidate experience help increase applicant flow?  Improve referral traffic?  Fill jobs with our Talent Network?  Recruit more passive candidates?  Get more offers accepted when offered?  Get more qualified candidates and hires?

Overall better candidate experiences will drive true business outcomes in your recruitment marketing strategy.  Also better overall candidate experience should lead to a better brand at your organisation.  This brand will help your bottom line value in terms of the two above: improved applicant flow and increased candidate quality.

Candidate Experience can provide real value for recruitment agencies; the key is to make right decisions when it comes to candidates.  You should want candidates to leave with a positive (or at least not negative) experience from applying to your organisation because who knows, they might be a great candidate in the future or a great customer already.

That is why at SDP Solutions a service provider of contingent workforce solutions has an exclusive attractive contractor care program, which we pass on to all our contractors and temps.  We also offer our recruiting client’s contingent workforce access; making them more lucrative for potential candidates.

The attractive contractor care package can be seen below; we also offer recruiters payroll, invoicing and financing ensuring to reduce their costs, become more efficient and maximise value.  Click here for more information
