Do I have annual or sick leave?
You will be entitled to all leave that is prescribed in the National Employment Standards by the Fair Work Ombudsman. You will be entitled to 10 days of personal leave.
How many years of experience do I need to get a 482 visa?
You will need at least two years of relevant experience matching your education.
Can I be employed by SDP Solutions but work for the host client?
Yes. SDP Solutions holds an on-hire labour agreement that allows us to employ you but on-hire the services to a host client. You will work as a full-time employee under fixed-term or ongoing employment, depending on the organisation’s requirements.
I am already in the country and want to work for another client; how can SDP assist?
SDP Solutions holds an on-hire visa agreement with the Department of Home Affairs. This agreement allows us to employ and hire tour services to host clients, giving you the flexibility to work on many client projects.
What are the steps in applying for a 482 visa?
SDP first reviews your documents and provides a free assessment and preapproval. We then issue an employment contract. A nomination is lodged seeking approval to sponsor the worker. The 482 visa application is lodged for approval. Typically, the nomination and visa applications are lodged together.
How long does it take to process 482 visas?
The timelines vary according to immigration guidelines. Generally, the 482 visa processing time will take 4 to 7 weeks. However, if you are already in the country and have a visa, the nomination is usually approved within 1-3 weeks.
My client would want to pay you a daily or hourly rate. How do I get paid?
Under the Fair Work Act, we engage you in employment with a fixed monthly salary and all entitlements, such as leave and other entitlements.
